Relationships can be hard – sometimes the person you love the most is the one you have the most trouble connecting to.
Many couples begin therapy feeling stuck in a cycle, endlessly repeating the same arguments without resolution. It’s frustrating because, rather than resolving issues, it feels like you’re drifting further apart.
Those late-night discussions and long talks in the car on the way to family events might seem productive at the time, but they don’t lead to real progress.
You are deeply connected to your partner in many ways, yet in others, you feel worlds apart. You wonder how you can be so in sync, yet so fundamentally different.
You’re struggling to fix your relationship.
Do any of the following resonate with you?
If these sound true for you, we want you to know that all relationships get hard at some point. You have not failed if you and your partner are stuck in your relationship and cannot find a way forward. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not failure.

How does couples therapy work?
Couples therapy consists of 50-minute sessions that help both of you work through your concerns. In addition to listening, your therapist will give you practical tools to build communication skills and foster emotional and sexual intimacy, they play an active role.
Here’s how it will work step-by-step:
1
Through hearing the story of your relationship, your therapist will start to get a picture of what your challenges are as a couple.
2
Next your therapist will start by helping you with immediate concerns like managing difficult emotions and communicatively effectively with one another.
3
You will also work together to discover what your goals are in couples therapy and in life with your partner.
4
Over the course of your sessions, you will start making progress towards becoming a mutually respectful, supportive team.
Research shows that couples therapy can positively change your thinking, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors. It can help you let go of what’s holding you back.
